Description:
Come and enjoy some fantastic blues performed by
Spa City Youngbloods, Lee Langdon and the Akeem Kemp Band. This is a free event. Pull up a chair, order some food and drinks from the food trucks and vendors.

Spa City Youngbloods is the performance side of the Spa City Blues Society’s Blues In The Schools program. These young people have been invited to play at the Dusk til Dawn Blues Festival, Hot Water Hills Music and Arts Festival, Hot Springs Blues Festival as well as numerous other public and private events. The band has played in the Youth Showcase at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis several times. Band members come from Hot Springs, Malvern, Nashville and Caddo Gap.

Lee Langdon,known as Lightnin’ Lee, was part of the duo of Lightnin’ Lee and the Upright Rooster who won the Solo/Duo competition in the 2004 International Blues Challenge. Langdon has played around Hot Springs for a number of years as a solo artist or as part of a band. His original music, vocal range and guitar abilities make Langdon one of the Spa City’s finest treasures.

Akeem Kemp Band, new on the Arkansas music scene, is already making noise. Hailing from the Conway area, the band finished as a finalist in the 2017 International Blues Challenge. Kemp has been making waves as a top notch guitarist as well as vocalist. He has drawn comparisons to the late Michael Burks.
